Chris receives many thousands of enquiries about his music and career from all over the world and, as much as he would like to, he is unable to reply to each one individually. The NEW CHRIS DE BURGH CLUB was formed in 1983 to keep his many supporters world-wide up to date with what Chris is doing, and what he plans to do in the future. On joining the club, members will receive a glossy club folder containing the following: The current edition of THE GETAWAY GAZETTE, the fan club's own A4 newsletter. Each issue contains exclusive interview material with Chris, unavailable elsewhere. A metal and enamel club badge. A selection of A5 and A4 colour photographs of Chris. A special sepia print poster, folded to A4 size. In addition, members will also receive a further TWO editions of THE GETAWAY GAZETTE to conclude an initial membership to the club. Each Gazette is usually accompanied by an offer to obtain Chris de Burgh merchandise, either produced exclusively for club members or at reduced rates. The club also aims to provide members with advance notification of any UK shows by Chris, and the opportunity to purchase tickets to them on a priority basis. Chris joins us in hoping you will choose to become a member of the club.

Fan Club Magazine Collection~The fan club's official newsletter, The Getaway Gazette, was first published in 1983. We still hold stocks of the 34 newsletters dating back from the September, 1985 edition (the club's fourth magazine), right up to the September, 2002 issue - which are offered to you now as a single collection.

The collection represents 17 years of exclusive, one on one interviews with Chris, picking over all of the key events in both his private life and career. The approximate combined total of written words contained in the newsletters is well in excess of 150,000. That's the equivalent of a very thick and hefty book which, in fact, is what we have often considered turning these back issues into.

All you ever wanted to know about Chris is here - including explanations from him about almost every song he has ever written - and much, much more.
